Spring/Summer 2018 Information

Spring/Summer 2018 Information for Returning Students
If you are enrolled on the NDUS United Healthcare insurance, or if you waived coverage, here's what you need to do to stay enrolled in your insurance and therefore, enrolled in your classes:

If you had NDUS United Healthcare insurance coverage in the fall AND you plan to stay enrolled in classes at your institution this spring AND keep the same United Healthcare insurance coverage:
No need to do anything other than pay your bill on your Campus Connection account by January 24, 2018. Your health insurance enrollment will roll over into the new term without you having to do anything. The premium cost for international students is $1087.00, and coverage will last from January 1, 2018-August 15, 2018. You will still use the same insurance ID card and insurance policy # as you used in the fall. You can access your ID card here www.UHCSR.com/NDUS. Click "Log into My Account" at the top-right of the screen.

If you waived coverage in the fall AND you plan to stay enrolled at your institution this spring AND you plan to continue that same insurance coverage:
Simply ensure that your policy is active and current in 2018 by contacting that insurance company and confirming that it is up-to-date. ECI, the audit company, will verify whether your policy is active and comparable. If it is active, your insurance charge will be removed from your Campus Connection account by mid-January. This cannot be removed before the re-audit is complete. If your policy does not meet the criteria, ECI will contact you about getting your policy current. If your policy requires an update and you do not complete an update, you will be enrolled onto the NDUS United Healthcare plan and you will need to pay the charges billed to your Campus Connection account by January 24, 2018.

If you have NDUS United Healthcare insurance coverage now but want to request a waiver in the spring with an alternate policy:
Use this link to apply for an insurance waiver: https://elev834.eciservices.com/student/login.aspx.
The waiver application deadline is January 18, 2018. ECI will communicate with you throughout the process (all through your campus email address). If your waiver meets the criteria, you will receive a waiver. If it does not meet the required criteria, you will be enrolled onto the NDUS insurance plan and will need to pay the premium billed to your student account by January 24, 2018.

If you waived coverage in the fall AND will be continuing classes at your institution AND you now want to drop your insurance AND pick up coverage with the NDUS United Healthcare plan:
Please contact your campus contact person.

If you plan not to return to your institution for the spring semester and need to drop your NDUS United Healthcare plan:
