NDUS Launches Search for DSU President
The search for the next president of Dickinson State University officially launched today. The application deadline is Aug. 3, 2015, for best consideration, with the successful candidate starting on or about Jan. 1, 2016, if not earlier.
The North Dakota University System contracted with James H. McCormick, a senior consultant at AGB Search, to assist with the process. The applications will be reviewed by the Presidential Search Committee. Then, the top candidates will be forwarded to the State Board of Higher Education for a final decision.
"The State Board of Higher Education and the university community are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking individual eager to build on a foundation of academic pursuit and vital community outreach who can steer DSU in this exciting new phase of its history. The successful candidate will be passionate about DSU and its tradition and inspire a renewed sense of stability, energy and direction for the entire academic community," said Kari Reichert, chair of the Presidential Search Committee and member of the State Board of Higher Education.
As part of NDUS, the mission of DSU is to contribute to the intellectual, social, economic and cultural development of the local community and surrounding region, as well as the state of North Dakota, said Reichert. The successful candidate will succeed Dr. D. C. Coston, who has served the university since 2011.
