Nadolny on leave until Nov. 19, Olson appointed WSC interim president

Dr. Raymond Nadolny, president of Williston State College, has completed a medical evaluation and will be on leave from his position until approximately November 19. During this time, he will take advantage of health services that have been recommended by his healthcare provider.
Dr. Nadolny's well-being and the well-being of Williston State College are our highest priorities, and I believe that these priorities are being served through this decision. It is no secret that there are unique challenges to all organizations currently operating in western North Dakota, and colleges are no different. It is our responsibility to ensure that our students, faculty and staff, as well as WSC and the communities it serves are given the attention they deserve as we approach these challenges.
I have appointed Terry Olson to serve as WSC's interim president for the next month. Olson is a well-respected member of the Williston community, is a WSC supporter, and has worked with the WSC Foundation for a number of years. He will provide leadership to the organization and ensure continuity for all stakeholders. We will also conduct an assessment at WSC during the next few weeks that allows us to develop a plan that supports the continuing success of this integral part of our university system. Arrangements related to the assessment team are still in progress.
I have full confidence in Dr. Nadolny and expect him to return to his position as president of WSC on or about Nov. 19.
