Dr. Raymond Nadolny, president of Williston State College, was placed on indefinite administrative leave beginning Oct. 15 due to alleged misconduct involving alcohol use. Interim Chancellor Larry C. Skogen has named Wanda Meyer, current provost/vice president for instruction and student services, acting president. Skogen met with the Williston State College faculty and staff regarding this issue this morning.
"When addressing this situation, my priorities are the students, faculty and staff of Williston State College and the institution itself, as well as the health and well-being of Dr. Nadolny," said Skogen.
The order of administrative leave came after Skogen was informed about a possible alcohol issue involving Nadolny. Upon learning that information, he immediately placed Nadolny on administrative leave, named Meyer acting president and drove to Williston to meet with Nadolny.
The university system is contracting with a third party to conduct an assessment on the Williston State College campus next week. A decision will be made following that assessment regarding whether or not an interim president will need to be appointed.
