SUBJECT: 400s: Academic Affairs EFFECTIVE: December 10, 2015
Section: 402.3 Home Educated and Other Special Categories of Applicants

  1. Institutions shall establish procedures governing admission of home educated students.

  2. Home educated students are also required to comply with Policy 402.1.1, relating to required standardized tests, and Policy 402.2, relating to core curriculum requirements for admission to baccalaureate programs of study.

  3. Institutions may establish procedures for the following special categories of applicants:

    1. early entry students to attend selected college and university classes while simultaneously attending high school;
    2. transient students who enroll at the institution and plan to transfer the credits earned to apply toward a degree at another institution;
    3. those who are enrolling in audit courses only;
    4. those who pursue a non-degree track of study;
    5. employees admitted under SBHE Policy 820;
    6. those whose application records are incomplete; and,
    7. collaboratively enrolled students at the provider campus.
