SUBJECT: 300s: Governance and Organization EFFECTIVE: December 10, 2015
Section: 302.6 Student Financial Assistance Program Advisory Board

North Dakota Century Code 15-62.4-04 established the Student Financial Assistance Advisory Board. The statute shall be implemented as follows:

  1. Each member of the advisory board shall be appointed for two-year terms, beginning the first day of each biennium and ending the last day of the biennium.

  2. Advisory board members may serve up to three consecutive terms.

  3. An individual who is appointed to fill a vacancy on the advisory board shall serve the remainder of the two-year term. If the appointment is for less than one year, the member may be reappointed for three consecutive terms.

  4. The Chancellor shall select and approve members for the advisory board at least thirty days before the end of the biennium.

  5. The Chancellor shall appoint a member of the Chancellor's staff to serve as the nonvoting ex officio chair of the advisory board.

  6. The Chancellor may establish additional procedures concerning the administration of the advisory board and the student financial assistance program.
