SUBJECT: 400s: Academic affairs EFFECTIVE: February 8, 2016
Section: 402.0 Common Admission Applications

  1. All students requesting admission to a North Dakota University System (NDUS) institution shall complete the NDUS common undergraduate or graduate admission applications, approved by the Chancellor.

  2. The purpose of the NDUS common applications is to ensure that information on all students applying to a NDUS institution is collected in a uniform and consistent manner. The information gathered is utilized for campus and NDUS needs as well as state and federal reporting requirements.

  3. The common applications shall be provided and submitted online via each NDUS institution's website and shall be reviewed and updated annually. A paper format shall be used only in extraordinary circumstances and shall be a replica of the online applications. The information on that paper copy, in its entirety, shall then be entered into the online applications or ConnectND by the institution's admissions officers. Institutions may include additional supplemental application questions or a supplemental application to obtain institution- or program- specific information in addition to the common applications.
