The University of North Dakota Summer Institute of Linguistics professor Stephen Marlett and his wife, Cathy, like Cathy's parents before them, have worked for decades among the Seri people of Mexico.
The Marletts' work recently was featured prominently, including several pages of photographs, in an article about the world's vanishing languages in the current issue of National Geographic , both print and online editions.
