Walters presents senior recital at DSU April 28 Posted on 4/18/2012
Leah Grace Walters, senior vocal performance major at Dickinson State University, will be performing her senior recital Saturday, April 28, at 2:30 p.m. in Dorothy Stickney Auditorium, May Hall.
Walters has been studying voice for nine years and is currently a student of Dr. Bruce Southard, director of choral activities at DSU, and Dr. Virginia Sublett of North Dakota State University. During March 2012, Watlers competed in the National Music Teachers National Association Voice Competition in New York City.
Walters will be performing a variety of pieces from opera arias to songs and song cycles from Handle, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Massenet, Mozart and several others. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served immediately following the recital.
