The Strom Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation will host its twelfth annual entrepreneurship conference, April 16-17, at Dorothy Stickney Auditorium, May Hall, Dickinson State University and the Ramada Grand Dakota Lodge, Dickinson.
For over a decade, this annual conference has featured experts in innovation, entrepreneurship and small business development as a part of the Strom Center's effort to inspire and develop these strengths in southwestern North Dakota. This year's conference will include internationally known keynote speaker, Stephen M. R. Covey.
Covey is The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal bestselling author of "The Speed of Trust." Covey advocates that nothing is as fast as the speed of trust and that the ability to establish, grow, extend and restore trust with all stakeholders is the critical leadership competency of the new global economy. Covey personally led the strategy that propelled his father's book, Dr. Stephen R. Covey's "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People." Over the years, Covey has gained considerable respect and influence with executives and leaders of Fortune 500 companies, as well as with mid and small-sized private sector and public sector organizations he has consulted.
The conference opens on the evening of Monday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in Dorothy Stickney Auditorium, May Hall, with a special presentation by Stephen M. R. Covey. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at the Ramada Grand Dakota Lodge. Registration fees are $25 for the evening session, $90 for the day session or $100 for both sessions.
