The UND Art Collections' new exhibition, Art Across the Ages: A Selection of Treasured Works, features an exciting historical overview of works from the University of North Dakota's collections.

The exhibition opens Tuesday, April 25 with a reception from 4:30-7 p.m. in the Empire Arts Center.  UND President Mark Kennedy will speak about 5:10 p.m.  Objects on display will range from ancient artworks to pieces by Dürer, Rembrandt, Picasso, Matisse, Dali, and other renowned artists. This exhibition encourages the viewer to explore the importance of art in human life throughout the ages.

In partnership with the Empire Arts Center, the University's downtown gallery was established on Aug. 29, 2012, and extends UND's rich collection of art beyond the campus borders. The gallery is a tangible example of the University's commitment to expand its presence into the community. The Empire Arts Center is located at 415 DeMers Avenue in Downtown Grand Forks.
