Every year schools from around the state set up booths in the State Capitol's Memorial Hall to showcase their CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs.

DCB Instructor Clint Saunders and four students traveled to Bismarck to set up a photo booth to highlight the new photography program at DCB during the annual CTE In Memorial Hall Exhibit.

The DCB Photography students enjoyed a day photographing legislators, senators, and other government employees. "We set up and created head shots for anyone who wanted a photo, and then emailed them a copy when we got back to the campus." Stated Saunders.

"It was a great opportunity for these government officials to see what we are all about and a great opportunity for the students to get practical experience and meet some of our government officials." Saunders continued.

Along with the photography, the students also got a personal tour of the capitol courtesy of Senator David P. O'Connell. "Senator O'Connell was great," states Saunders. "He stopped by the booth, had his photo taken and then took our students on a tour. They had a great time as well as a great learning experience."
